A. Our team of experienced Speech Pathologists will work with you to design a communication board for your space, using internationally recognised symbols from common Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems. We’ll provide you with a high quality PDF, including your logo. We don’t print or install the board, however we can advise on the size and best location.
Our standard communication board designs are 1m x 1m or 1m x 1.2m. Let us know if you need something different!
Yes, we can include your logo on the communication board design. Logos are to be supplied in full colour, as a jpeg or png file. Any additional branding is to be completed by your own graphic design team. We can supply you with a PDF file and will ask to see the final version before production to ensure all accessibility requirements are met. Our copyright statements and Two Way Street logo must remain on all communication boards.
We don’t recommend using background colours behind words. Research shows that simple backgrounds make the communication board easier to see and use for more people.
Yes, can create a high-contrast version of the communication board. Check out this example.
Yes, we can assist you to add braille, this a great way to increase the accessibility of your board. We work with Brailliant Touch to do this. There is an extra cost for this service.
No, we don’t have the rights to include Auslan or Key Word Sign on our communication board designs. You may like to contact The Deaf Butterfly Effect to develop a separate Auslan board for your site.
No, our boards are custom-made for each organisation and are not permitted to be shared with others. Each design includes a copyright notice for both the symbols and our design. If another space would benefit from a communication board, we’d love to create a board just for them. Multiple copies of the communication board are permitted for use within the one organisation.
