Cassie Manuell Communication Support Worker
Cassie has more than 25 years’ experience as a communication support worker, working with both children and adults living with disabilities. For the past 20 years she has focused on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods and technology, and works in school, child care, community, employment and home settings.
Cassie’s skills in technology for AAC such as speech generating devices, iPads and communication software are a real asset for Two Way Street, and she is an experienced device programmer. In addition, she is skilled at working with and creating non-electronic communication boards and other resources. She also works with switching, scanning and eye-gaze technologies.
In addition to her passion for all things AAC, Cassie loves to travel in her caravan with her family and travel overseas. She loves doing different kinds of craft, particularly diamond art, and enjoys some gardening and cooking.
