Rebecca (Bec) Hudson Senior Speech Pathologist
A Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, with 8 years of experience, Bec is passionate about working with autistic people, providing AAC services to a wide range of individuals and has worked across a variety of settings and environments. Bec values spending her time being a Clinical Educator to speech pathology students and mentoring other Speech Pathologists.
With considerable experience in providing individualised coaching and support to communication partners – such as caregivers, support workers, parents, teachers, SSOs, other allied health professionals – Bec considers this a vital component of successful AAC. She values innovation and strives to deliver tailored support to each person she works with. Enjoying her work with individuals of all ages, Bec is committed to helping clients and their support teams realise the potential of AAC, including those who primarily use verbal speech but could benefit from having access to AAC. Bec’s favourite aspect of her role is empowering others, enabling clients to feel inspired by their own progress and support teams to be inspired by their person, forming a triangle of empowerment and inspiration.
When she is not passionately discussing the benefits of AAC, Bec can be found spending quality time with the people closest to her, playing with her boisterous and goofy dog and planning her next travel adventure.
