Yoyo Leung Speech Pathologist
Yoyo is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who has worked in schools in Victoria before moving to South Australia and joining Two Way Street. Yoyo has 5 years of experience in enabling children to access Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support in mainstream and specialist school settings. Yoyo has worked with educators and families who did not have access to the NDIS to enhance children’s participation at school, home and in the wider community.
Yoyo is particularly passionate in building meaningful connections with individuals using AAC. She developed a keen interest in using different types of AAC such as PODD, Proloquo2go, Aided Language Displays and Key Word Signs. Yoyo enjoys incorporating AAC in genuine interactions with people with a communication disability, to promote successful communication. She is dedicated to communication partner training, as well as developing AAC resources that can be used with anyone, at anytime and anywhere.
Outside of work, Yoyo enjoys traveling and learning different languages. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Korean. She is hoping to learn Japanese next!
